Cox Launches Epix and Vutopia Movie Products to All Cox Virginia Customers

Customers can also access two new HD Channels in Roanoke and Hampton Roads and three new HD Channels in Northern Virginia

CHESAPEAKE, Va., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning April 1, Cox customers will have access to two new movie offerings, bringing more choice to movie lovers in Virginia. Epix and Vutopia will be available in all markets at no additional cost to Advanced TV customers who subscribe to the Movie Pak.

Epix is a new movie channel offering Hollywood titles plus classic feature films, original series, and music and comedy specials. Vutopia is a new On DEMAND movie service offering hundreds of movies on demand to watch anytime, including Hollywood favorites, and documentaries. The vast majority of movies will be available in HD. Both services will offer online content as well, beginning in June.

"In addition to the vast library of movie choices available On DEMAND, Advanced TV customers can now access even more content with the launch of Epix and Vutopia," said Chris Pantoya, Vice President of Marketing. "And at no additional charge to subscribers of the Movie Pak, Cox offers the best value for movie lovers."

Vutopia is available in the On DEMAND library, located on Channel 1. Customers can access Epix using the below channels in the three Cox Virginia regions.

Both Epix and Vutopia will be available to subscribers of the Movie Pak at no additional charge. Epix will also be made available as a stand-alone purchase with Advanced TV for $11.99 per month. Advanced TV customers can also purchase Vutopia as a stand alone product for $9.99 per month.

Also, in the Hampton Roads and Roanoke areas, Cox has launched two new HD channels in addition to Epix HD. They are as follows:

Hallmark HD

In Roanoke, Hallmark HD can be found at 717; in Hampton Roads Hallmark is located at 860. Hallmark HD provides family-friendly programming. Hallmark Channel also airs a mix of popular television series, including "The Golden Girls," "I Love Lucy," "Touched By An Angel," "M*A*S*H," "Cheers" and "7th Heaven."

Disney XD HD

In Roanoke, Disney XD HD can be found at 738; in Hampton Roads Disney XD HD can be found at 726. Disney XD HD airs action-based children's animated television series, with some live-action programming and movies.

In Northern Virginia, Cox has launched the following three new HD channels:

NBA TV HD

In Northern Virginia, NBA TV HD can be found at 780. A product of the National Basketball Association, NBA TV HD is dedicated to showcasing the sport of professional basketball.

ESPN U HD

In Northern Virginia, ESPN U HD can be found at 781.ESPN U HD specializes in college sports.

ESPN News HD

In Northern Virginia, NBA TV HD can be found at 782. ESPN News HD offers provides comprehensive sports coverage.
