Special Performance of L. Ron Hubbard Story 'One Was Stubborn' Honors Birthday of One of America's Most Celebrated Authors

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- A special performance of the humorous science fiction story, "One Was Stubborn" written by L. Ron Hubbard will take place in the Golden Age Theater on Saturday, March 13 - his birthday.

Starring Robert Towers (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Josh Robert Thompson (Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson) and Jorjeana Marie (comedian), the performance takes place in the Golden Age Theater at Author Services located at 7051 Hollywood Blvd - between Highland and LaBrea, one block west of the Kodak and Grauman's Chinese Theaters. The doors open at 7:00 PM. Tickets for the special birthday performance can be purchased online at www.goldenagetheater.com.

A special pre-show will take place at 7:30 PM, featuring the Chairmen of the Chord (www.ChairmenoftheChord.com), one of Hollywood's most popular Barbershop Quartets.

The featured performance of "One Was Stubborn" starts at 8 PM and is the story about Old Shellback, the most stubborn man in the universe: he's simply unwilling to watch the universe crumble and vanish, the product of an alleged agreement among the living to think it away. When Shellback won't budge, he throws a wrench into the works.

Born on March 13, 1911 in Tilden, Nebraska, L. Ron Hubbard was one of America's most prolific writers of popular fiction producing over 18 million words of fiction with a writing career that spanned over five decades. During the 1930s and 40s he authored more than 250 short stories, novelettes and novels under his own name and any of his 15 pen names at a production rate of about 100,000 words a month.
