Each year, HGTV challenges itself to raise the bar for the upcoming Dream Home. The location, the surroundings and the home style are all expected to be increasingly more inviting and spectacular. And in choosing refrigeration, wine and cooking products, HGTV chooses the best.
"When you're looking for the best appliances to enhance your kitchen and improve the quality of life in your kitchen, turn to Sub-Zero and Wolf," said Jack Thomasson, Professional House Planner for the HGTV Dream Home. "Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances can make an ordinary kitchen extraordinary. Their quality is only matched by their style," Thomasson added.
Sub-Zero and Wolf collaborated with the HGTV house planners and designers to include 13 kitchen appliances throughout different areas of the home. "The HGTV Dream Home is a great way for us to showcase our easy-to-use quality products and to inspire consumers," said Christopher Parr, Marketing and Interactive Manager for Sub-Zero and Wolf. "Made-in-America and family owned for over 60 years, Sub-Zero and Wolf are the leaders in kitchen appliances, delivering quality, sustainability, design and dream kitchens."
Located in Sandia Park along the Turquoise Trail between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, the custom-designed 3,900 square-foot home mixes southwestern architecture with modern design, including Sub-Zero refrigerators that blend seamlessly with the cabinetry. In addition, the entire house is solar-powered, taking advantage of the abundance of New Mexico sunlight.
This year, the HGTV Dream Home Kitchen features a "green" line up, with three Energy Star rated Sub-Zero refrigerators, each using less energy than a 100-watt light bulb. There is also a Wolf induction cooktop that is 50% more efficient than a regular electric cooktop, and a Wolf oven that is a sustainable product that consumes less energy without reducing performance.
In addition to the Wolf induction cooktop and oven, the kitchen boasts a powerful and flexible lineup of cooking tools, including a Wolf steamer, gas cooktop, and a drawer microwave oven. The home features appliances outside the kitchen as well, with a Wolf warming drawer in the master bathroom - perfect for keeping bath towels warm - and a Wolf outdoor grill on the patio.
