Slacker Radio Mobile App Delivered to T-Mobile USA Customers on BlackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphones

Slacker Radio Mobile Application Enables Customers to Play Personalized Radio Whenever and Wherever They Want

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Slacker, Inc. today announced that T-Mobile USA customers using a BlackBerry® Curve(TM) 8520 smartphone will be given easier access to their favorite music through the free Slacker Radio Mobile application, as an icon for the application will be pushed directly to their smartphone.

Already broadly available on BlackBerry App World(TM) to T-Mobile USA customers using BlackBerry® smartphones, T-Mobile USA's customers using a BlackBerry Curve 8520 are now provided with greater discoverability and easier access to the Slacker Radio Mobile application.

Once the Slacker icon appears on their BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone, T-Mobile customers simply click to download the Slacker Radio application, an award-winning free service that has millions of songs in high-quality audio. Slacker Radio is a powerful music discovery experience comprised of over 100 expert-programmed Slacker stations with listeners being able to create their own custom stations with their favorite artists and songs. Music fans can also read detailed artist biographies, album reviews and song lyrics.

Other BlackBerry smartphone customers on the T-Mobile network can also enjoy the free Slacker Basic Radio service by visiting BlackBerry App World (www.blackberry.com/appworld) or www.Slacker.com from web2go directly on their smartphone. For those listeners looking to get even more from the Slacker Radio experience, the new T-Mobile version of the Slacker Radio application enables users to subscribe to Slacker Radio Plus from their smartphones and bill their T-Mobile account directly for $3.99 per month, giving them easy access to ad-free listening, complete song lyrics, unlimited song skipping and more.

"Millions of BlackBerry smartphone users are listening to Slacker Radio on their commutes, around town and even on planes," said Steve Cotter, senior vice president of business development at Slacker. "By working with T-Mobile to have the Slacker Radio app delivered to handsets and streamlining the billing process, we are providing customers the easiest way to get the best personal radio application for their smartphones."

Slacker is the only Personal Radio service that enables listeners to store their favorite stations on their BlackBerry smartphone memory card so they can listen whether they are connected to a wireless network or not. Cached stations also dramatically boost battery life and improve performance.
