Dan Harrison Named Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, CBS Corporation

NEW YORK, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dan Harrison has been named Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS.A) (NYSE:and CBS) , it was announced today by Martin D. Franks, Executive Vice President, Planning, Policy and Government Affairs, CBS Corporation. He starts Jan. 4 and will report to Franks.

In this newly created role, Harrison will assist in the development of new business models across the full range of the Company's operations. He will work with CBS's senior management to help chart the strategic direction of the Corporation as it pertains to new technology and emerging distribution channels.

Harrison was most recently Senior Vice President of Emerging Networks for NBC Universal Cable, where he oversaw the NBC Universal Cable Group's mystery-crime and suspense-horror cable channels, Sleuth and Chiller. He was also responsible for managing Universal HD, NBCU's high-definition digital network, as well as operations for NBC 2Go, CNBC 2Go and MSNBC 2Go, and studio-based acquisitions for Bravo and Oxygen Media. Before that he served as Senior Vice President, Cross-Network Strategy & Emerging Networks for NBC Universal, which included planning and execution of Bravo's long-range direction as well as scheduling. Earlier, Harrison worked as Vice President, Strategic Program Planning for Bravo. He also served as Senior Vice President, Programming & Strategic Planning at Fox Sports Group, handling development, production, scheduling and program research for all of the non-event, non-news programming on Fox Sports (primarily Fox Sports Net) as well as for the development and launch of the Fuel network. His past experiences include serving as Vice President of ZeniMax Media, where he oversaw the relationship with CBS that resulted in the on-line game for "Survivor: The Australian Outback;" Director and Vice President of Program Planning and Scheduling for NBC Entertainment, and Manager, Program Planning and Development for UPN.

Harrison earned his BA in economics at Cornell University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School.
