HDNet Presents Live Coverage of the 2009 Legends Classic College Basketball Tournament

Coverage featuring Michigan State, Rutgers, Florida and UMass begins Friday, November 27 at 5:30 p.m. ET

DALLAS, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- HDNet announced today that the network will broadcast exclusive LIVE coverage of the third annual Legends Classic, Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28 beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Michigan State, Rutgers, Florida and UMass will serve as the four Regional Round hosts for the event. The tournament began with Regional Round action, November 18 through 22, with the four host schools automatically advancing to the Championship Rounds at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on November 27 and 28.

HDNet will cover the semifinals on November 27 as well as the Consolation and Championship Games from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on November 28.

   Teams:   Michigan State Spartans - Head Coach: Tom Izzo  

The Spartans are led by 2009 Big Ten Player of the Year Kalin Lucas and 2008 All Big Ten performer Raymar Morgan.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights - Head Coach: Fred Hill

Fred Hill is entering his fourth season as the head coach at Rutgers and welcomes back talented rising sophomores Mike Rosario and Gregory Echenique. Rosario led the team in scoring as a freshman, averaging just more than sixteen points per contest and Echenique grabbed more than eight rebounds a game.

Florida Gators - Head Coach: Billy Donovan

The Gators return four players with starting experience and 10 players overall from last year's squad that finished 25-11 and reached the postseason for the 12th consecutive year.

Massachusetts Minutemen - Head Coach: Derek Kellogg

It will be an exciting season for the UMass Minutemen as Derek Kellogg enters his second season at the helm of his alma mater. Kellogg welcomes back high-scoring All-Atlantic selection Ricky Harris and versatile guard Anthony Gurley to go along with a number of new faces.
