Marshall Tucker Band's Southern Sounds Support Maine Military Charities

Operation Homefront New England Chapter to Benefit

WINDHAM, Maine, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Operation Homefront's New England chapter is getting ready to rock with the Marshall Tucker Band, one of the biggest and best known Southern rock bands of the 70's. The event, a veteran support benefit, will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. Presented by the Falmouth Rotary Club, proceeds from the event benefit Operation Homefront, the Warrior Legacy Foundation, Homes for our Troops, and Adopt a US Soldier.

"This is a great event with good music and lots of local vendors that benefits a great cause," said Operation Homefront chapter president Donna Chapman. "We are looking forward to the Marshall Tucker Band's unique blend of rock, country, and jazz sounds, and to having one of the greats of Southern rock here in Maine, playing on behalf of our troops and their families.
