Other cast versions in the Top 200 Songs chart include Heart's "Alone"(#8), "Maybe This Time" from "Cabaret" (#21), Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" (#18), Celine Dion's "Taking Chances" (#31), Carrie Underwood's "Last Name" (#34), Rhianna's "Take a Bow" (#55), Jazmine Sullivan's "Bust Your Windows" (#70), REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling" (#97), Duffy's "Mercy" (#105), "On My Own" from "Les Miserables" (#111), Kanye West's "Gold Digger" (#103), Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" (#139) and Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It" (#167).
With almost 1 million songs downloaded, the audience for Glee's spirited music is growing at a fast pace. Each Tuesday songs are offered for purchase digitally from the episode that airs the following evening. The anticipation from fans seeking and purchasing the music before even seeing that performance in the show speaks to level of dedication and anticipation that viewers have for the music. The first official soundtrack, Glee: The Music, Volume 1, hits stores on Tuesday, November 3.
Critics cannot stop raving about Glee, and each week they fall in love with the show all over again. The LA Times recently proclaimed "I don't know how 'Glee' keeps topping itself--it just does!" The marriage of an incredibly witty and smart show with phenomenal takes on classic songs is what moved New York Newsday to describe it as a "gleeful delight."
