Local Celebrity and Piano Prodigy Jeffrey Ou to Receive Award, Scholarship and Homecoming Reception On Oct 24th For Being A Finalist On 'America's Got Talent!'

DALLAS, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hometown musical hero Jeffrey Ou recently wowed America on NBC's hit show America's Got Talent when he made it all the way to the finals, but the Dallas native is also an Internet sensation on YouTube because of his remarkable piano playing. The eighteen year old, who is now a freshman at the University of North Texas, had barely graduated from Newman Smith High School in 2008 when he submitted an audition tape and got the call that he made it on the show! Jeffrey, who was raised in Carrollton has studied the piano for eight years, for the last three years under internationally acclaimed Dr. Baya Kakouberi and won countless awards.

Now to congratulate him on this extraordinary achievement and help him continue his studies, the historic Piano Gallery of Dallas will host a homecoming reception and fundraiser to present Jeffrey with a Perseverance Award on October 24th, 2009 in their Inwood Road flagship store. Tickets to the event are $25 and benefit the scholarship fund of the Elan International Music Festival, a 501c3 non-profit corporation.

WHAT: The Piano Gallery of Dallas to host homecoming reception and present Jeffrey Ou a Perseverance Award for being a finalist on America's Got Talent. The event will include refreshments and performances by students from the studio of Dr. Kakouberi and the studio of Gary Levinson, Senior Associate Concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony as well as a prominent performance by Jeffrey.

COST: $25.00 per person: all proceeds benefit Jeffrey and the Elan International Music Festival.
