Give Music This Holiday Season From Universal Music Enterprises... the Gift That Keeps on Giving

From Dean Martin and A Very Special Christmas to The Jackson 5 and your favorite Motown artists.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- With the festive season lingering just around the corner -- nobody can create the mood or sing them better than Dean Martin. So uniquely stylized, highly identifiable and definitely crooned with the smooth approach that was his own inimitable vocal style. Released October 6, 2009, Dean Martin - My Kind of Christmas, collects 14 familiar, timeless classics, including; "Silent Night," "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" "Baby It's Cold Outside," "Jingle Bells," "Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer," and includes a specially remixed version of the festive chestnut "Winter Wonderland" -- delivered for the season in a manner as only this handsome film star, TV icon and Grammy®-winning singing sensation could.

Selling one million copies in its first year, the premier album, A Very Special Christmas, released in 1987, and the subsequent albums in the series, have generated more than $100 million for Special Olympics, the most ever raised by a benefit recording series. Set for release on November 23, A Very Special Christmas - Volume 7 (A&M/ UMe), incorporates a new generation of superstar talent and features original recordings of new and traditional Christmas songs hand selected by each artist. Find performances by Colbie Caillat ("Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"), The Carter Twins ("Let it Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow"), Miley Cyrus ("Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree"), Vanessa Hudgens ("Winter Wonderland"), Sean Kingston ("The Little Drummer Boy"), Carrie Underwood ("Hark! The Herald Angels Sing") as well as several others contributing to the latest edition of the acclaimed album series.

Since Motown first gave holiday music a new sound in the sixties, the label's Christmas albums have been as popular as brightly colored packages under the tree. Now, one of the all-time favorites, 1970's The Jackson 5 Christmas Album, will be reissued with new packaging and 10 bonus tracks, and a new two-CD compilation will bring together the best Christmas songs from the greatest Motown artists.

The Ultimate Motown Christmas Collection (Motown/UMe), a two-CD set released October 13, 2009, unwraps 35 sparkling selections spanning the decades, from the traditional to the contemporary, from Diana Ross & the Supremes' "Joy To The World" to new "stripped" versions of "A Child Is Waiting" from Smokey Robinson & the Miracles and "Silent Night" from the Temptations. Interspersed throughout are vintage spoken-word "Season's Greetings" from more than a dozen artists, including the Supremes, the Commodores, the Temptations, Four Tops, Martha & the Vandellas, and Smokey Robinson & the Miracles. The Jackson 5 contribute "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," and also included are Motown artists from across the decades: the Funk Brothers, Johnny Gill, The Boys, Kim Weston, and Boyz II Men with Brian McKnight.

The Jackson 5 Ultimate Christmas Collection (Motown/UMe), also released October 13, 2009, features the original best-selling album plus a rare Michael Jackson Christmas song, "Little Christmas Tree," and new mixes of several beloved tracks from the original LP. Created exclusively for this album are "stripped" mixes highlighting Michael on "Someday At Christmas" and the group on "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"; a group a cappella "Give Love On Christmas Day" spotlighting MJ and the Jacksons' beautiful family harmony; DJ Spinna's extended re-edit of the funky "Up On The Housetop"; and a radio-ready "J5 Christmas Medley." A special treat are spoken-word "Season's Greetings" messages from Michael, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine, recently uncovered in the vault.
