The Pleasanton Harvest Festival Boasts a Full Weekend of Fun

Favorite fall festival returns to Alameda County Fairgrounds with over 24,000 gifts

ALAMEDA, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pleasanton Fall Harvest Festival returns to the Alameda County Fairgrounds, September 11-13, 2009, bringing residents of the Bay Area a truly pleasant way to spend the day.

The Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show is the largest indoor arts and crafts show on the West Coast, and for many it's also a time-honored tradition. Every year, people look forward to visiting their favorite artisans, snacking on gourmet samples and browsing over 24,000 American handmade arts and crafts.

For over 37 years, the Harvest Festival's unique shopping atmosphere, coupled with great entertainment, has thrilled customers from all walks of life. Shoppers are treated to a one-of-a-kind opportunity to browse and select from thousands of unique, handmade items, including jewelry, photographs, sculptures, pottery, accessories, clothing, specialty foods, home decor and more.

The Pleasanton Harvest Festival is proud to once again partner with the Valley Humane Society (VHS) as the official show charity. The VHS will receive all of the proceeds from the parcel check, half the proceeds from shopping bag sales, and a cash donation from the show. Additionally, the Harvest Festival has joined forces with the Alameda County Community Food Bank and will be handing out $2 off admission coupons to anyone who donates food at the event.

Throughout the day, fabulous live musicians and performers entertain patrons as they browse, eat and shop. New to the show this year is Cash Tribute, a band that covers the hits of Johnny Cash with a twist. Also new to the line-up is Scotty and Trink, a comedic duo with unusually special skills in juggling balls, clubs, torches and knives.

Don't miss the chance to see exciting live performances, enter to win fabulous prizes, sample delicious treats and peruse the best in handcrafted gifts that can't be found in any mall.
