Kennedy to Create Original Viral Content and Launch the Yoostar Comedy Channel
NEW YORK, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Yoostar Entertainment Group today announced that it has signed a multi-faceted promotional relationship with actor Jamie Kennedy. Kennedy will create original, downloadable content for the Yoostar(TM) System that will serve as the anchor of the Yoostar Comedy Channel, perform in viral Yoostar videos, and participate in promotional activities for the brand that include helping to discover talent nationwide.
Actor and comedian Kennedy is best known for his work in the "Scream" film franchise, as well as his own television series "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment." As the cornerstone of the Yoostar Comedy Channel, Kennedy will develop unique comedic scenes in which users will be able act with or replace the star, creating their own takes on his brand of comedy. These scenes will be available to purchase and download via Yoostar's web site in the same way that users purchase movie and television scenes.

The Yoostar Comedy Channel, which launches in October, will give Yoostar users the chance to take center stage in a wide range of comedy clips. Scenes will feature top comedians and comedic actors performing in original video, as well as television and movies. The channel will also showcase Yoostar's unique brand of comedy, as already evidenced by the "Yoo in the News" satirical take-offs on headline news clips. The Yoostar Comedy Channel will add an entirely new category of user generated content, mixing technology and humor for a 21st century web-based audience.

The Yoostar system provides immersive family entertainment and the tools to turn your home into a virtual movie studio -- a high-grade web cam with built-in dual microphones and remote control, portable green screen, professional stand and PC-compatible Yoostar software. A Mac-compatible version of the software will be released later this year. For larger groups, the Yoostar system can be connected to a television with a variety of cables for a "living room" experience.
The system comes with an assortment of 14 scenes featuring multiple roles, with a constantly updated library of film and television scenes for purchase and download at www.yoostar.com. The Yoostar library will also feature scenes from "Sesame Street" and the NBA.
Yoostar will retail for $169.95 at Best Buy starting September 8th and is already available at Bloomingdale's and Yoostar.com, with additional scenes available for $.99-$3.99 per clip on Yoostar.com.
