The Sunset Strip Business Owners Offer Special Incentives at Upcoming Music Festival
The Sunset Strip To Be Shut Down For the First Time
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The notorious Sunset Strip, which stretches 1.3 miles through the heart of West Hollywood, is making history once again. This time, the famed Boulevard will shut off all automobile traffic for the first-ever street festival on The Sunset Strip. The street closure will be on Saturday, September 12 -- the last day of the music festival -- between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. The street fest is part of the three-day Sunset Strip Music Festival, which kicks off Thursday, September 10.
"This is the first time The Sunset Strip has ever been closed to traffic for a consumer-based event," explains Todd Steadman, executive director of the Sunset Strip Music Festival, LLC. "The business owners agreed that to make this year's event more accessible to music fans we needed to create a truly authentic festival atmosphere where attendees can walk freely from venue to venue. We are thankful for the City of West Hollywood's support to make this event a possibility."
With more than 40 bands slated to perform, thousands of visitors are expected to The Strip during the three days, including 8,000-10,000 for the street festival on Saturday, September 12. With such large volume, business owners along The Sunset Strip are offering special deals to all festival-goers to create an "open house" atmosphere that encourages visitors to check out the entire Sunset Strip.
"A music festival of this quality with over 40 artists at a ticket price of just $39.95 is an incredible value ... especially compared to some of the current music festival ticket prices out there," Steadman continued. "On top of the ticket price, several of the businesses along The Strip are also giving away special offers to make it one fantastic block party. It will truly be a rock festival like no other."
Not only was the ticket price created with the economy in mind, but for those who want to arrive early to grab lunch or a drink, the additional offers from the surrounding businesses will give festival attendees tremendous savings.
Some of the deals being offered throughout the weekend of the Sunset Strip Music Festival for attendees who show their ticket or pass include:
