Grammy Award Winning Guitarist Steve Vai Debuts New Concert Film 'WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE'
IN BENEFIT FOR HOLLYWOOD ARTS AT THE EGYPTIAN THEATRE IN HOLLYWOOD, CA SEPTEMBER 15TH
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Grammy-award winning guitarist Steve Vai's concert film STEVE VAI LIVE IN MINNEAPOLIS: WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE will debut at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on September 15th. The screening will be open to the public and proceeds from the event will benefit Hollywood Arts www.hollywood-arts.org, an arts academy that provides creative and commercial art instruction to homeless and at-risk youth. Vai has been a member of the board of directors for Hollywood arts since 2007.

2010 will mark Vai's 30 year touring anniversary. Vai first stepped into the spotlight in 1980 as a guitarist in Frank Zappa's band but his indelible contribution to music came during his solo career, which includes combined sales of nearly six million albums. WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE was filmed in Minneapolis during Vai's sold out Sound Theories tour which spanned several continents. The film, produced by Favored Nations Entertainment, is scheduled to be released on DVD September 29th and Blu-ray on October 27th.
