ActionView International, Inc. Announces First Band to be Featured at Inaugural MatchFights Event
MURRIETA, Calif., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets: AVEW) and its wholly owned MatchFights, LLC subsidiary today announced that Under Radar of Salt Lake City, Utah will be the first band featured as part of the inaugural MatchFights broadcast, scheduled for September 25, 2009 in Evanston Wyoming. In its events, MatchFights will feature a fight card of full contact bouts as well as live music and ring girl contests.
MatchFights plans to feature different bands at each of its live shows. Consistent with the other interactive elements of MatchFights events, the Internet audience will vote on which of the bands is the best. Each year, there will be a final performance where the winner for that year is determined by the audience, and MatchFights intends to partner with a record label to release an album for the winner.
"Our live events are planned to be great shows for the audience watching the fights in person as well as those watching on the live Internet broadcast, and having live bands performing in between bouts will add to the total entertainment value of the events," said Gary Nerison, chairman of ActionView International. "Our intention is to feature local bands at each event, and we are pleased to introduce Under Radar for our first broadcast. We hope that they are a band that our audience will support and want to bring back for the final performance."
The first live MatchFights event, which will be delivered in an interactive venue over the Internet to a global audience, will feature fourteen fighters from a broad fight background including MMA, Muy Thai, boxing and street fighting. Information on the fight card can be found at http://www.bkbfightclub.com/fightcard.aspx.
Fight fans interested in watching the MatchFights event live via the Internet can pre-register for $9.95 at www.bkbfightclub.com. Tickets for the event are available by contacting www.bkbfightclub.com and through several local retailers in Evanston. The pre-fight weigh in will be at 12:30 local time on September 25, 2009 at Suds Brothers Brewery located at 1012 Main Street in Evanston.
For this inaugural MatchFights event, all subscribers have their names entered into a drawing, and winners will receive a year of free subscriptions to MatchFights pay-per-view events. MatchFights is planning to hold its events approximately every 45 days, so winners will receive free pay-per-view subscriptions to 8 additional events throughout the year.
