T-Mobile Walks Latin Music Fans Down the Red Carpet at Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latin(R)

Cristian de la Fuente Will Host T-Mobile's Fan Area as Lucky Contest Winners Meet their Favorite Stars

MIAMI, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- T-Mobile USA, Inc. announced today a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Latin music fans to experience the red carpet and meet their favorite artists at this year's Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina. As part of an integrated partnership with Univision Communications Inc. and Premio Lo Nuestro(TM), T-Mobile(R) will give fans a chance to win a grand-prize package to see the awards show, up close and personal, as well as the opportunity to take over the red carpet bleacher area at the award show. This year's show will take place at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. on Thursday, March 26.

Premio Lo Nuestro, Univision's pre-eminent "people's choice" Latin music awards show, has been honoring the best in Hispanic music for the past 21 years. In keeping with the true essence of "people's choice," this contest, a first for T-Mobile and Univision, was created to recognize the overwhelming support that fans in the Hispanic community show for their favorite musical artists.

In partnering with Premio Lo Nuestro, T-Mobile is providing fans with a variety of opportunities for unprecedented access to the awards show. This access includes 150 fans viewing from bleacher seats on the red carpet, five individual prize-winners attending the show, and a Grand Prize winner and guests attending the show in style. The Grand Prize winner of T-Mobile's sweepstakes will receive four VIP tickets to the award show, four red carpet passes, one night hotel stay, ground transportation and $1,000 spending money.

"Only T-Mobile is rewarding Latin music fans by putting them and those they care about in the center of the action at Premio Lo Nuestro," said Mark Stockdale, director of Hispanic marketing at T-Mobile USA. "We know fans often talk about their favorite Premio Lo Nuestro-nominated artists like Juanes and Gilberto Santa Rosa because many of our own customers love these artists. Now some lucky fans will have a chance to actually talk to them."

As part of the promotion, T-Mobile and Univision are providing consumers with a chance to win coveted bleacher seats in T-Mobile's red carpet fan area, which will be hosted by popular actor Cristian de la Fuente. Winners of tickets to the red carpet bleacher seats will also have an opportunity to be randomly selected to receive a surprise phone call from a Premio Lo Nuestro nominee.

Cristian de la Fuente currently stars on USA Network's "In Plain Sight" premiering for its second season on Sunday, April 19. Cristian lit up the dance floor in season 6 of "Dancing with the Stars," finishing in the top three and recently guested on ABC's "Ugly Betty" and "Brothers and Sisters." He starred in the film "Driven" alongside Sylvester Stallone, and Univision's "Como Ama Una Mujer" (How a Woman Loves), the five-hour mini-series executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez.

Musical talents such as Juanes, Wisin y Yandel, Gilberto Santa Rosa, El Chapo de Sinaloa and Mana are among this year's top nominees for Premio Lo Nuestro. With finalists in 30 categories divided into the most popular Latin music genres of pop, tropical, regional Mexican, rock and urban, awards are bestowed annually to the best talent in the Latin music industry. Fans can enter for a chance to win the T-Mobile Premio Lo Nuestro sweepstakes at local T-Mobile retail locations in Florida. T-Mobile also plans to hold special store events for fans at two locations, 14200 SW 8th St. in Miami and 17748 NW 57th Ave. in Hialeah, on March 14, from 2-4 p.m., with local radio stations La Kalle 98.3 and Radio Amor 107.5.*

On March 21, Latin music aficionados will have the chance to win tickets to T-Mobile's red carpet bleacher at Premio Lo Nuestro by going to the T-Mobile stores at 8655-B Coral Way in Miami and 775 W. 49th St. in Hialeah. Store events at these locations will be held from 2-4 p.m. with La Kalle 98.3 and Radio Amor 107.5.
