BURBANK, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- 3ality Digital, LLC, a leading developer of advanced live-action 3D entertainment technologies, announced today that the company has named Gari Ann Douglass to the post of Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. Douglass, a seasoned finance and operations executive, has an extensive background in entertainment industry management in both technology and production. Prior to joining 3ality Digital as Chief Financial Officer in 2007, Ms. Douglass served as Chief Financial Officer for Technicolor Entertainment Services. She was an executive with Paramount Pictures for more than 14 years, serving as Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations in the Home Entertainment division, as well as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance. Prior to her tenure at Paramount, Ms. Douglass spent time at MCA Records and Columbia Pictures. A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Douglass began her career as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the entertainment division. "From the day she walked through our door, Gari Ann has made an enormous contribution to our company," said Sandy Climan, CEO, 3ality Digital. "Her combination of operational and financial savvy has been invaluable as we have set out to establish 3ality Digital as the pace-setter in 3D entertainment technology."

"Gari Ann has brought a wealth of skills that have helped guide us through the enormous challenges of being an industry trendsetter," said David Modell, Chairman, 3ality Digital. "She has contributed greatly to our efforts, including the series of 'firsts' we have managed to achieve in the marketplace, starting with U2 3D - which was the first movie shot in live-action digital 3D - through our strategic technology deal with Quantel, to our latest forays into live 3D sports broadcasts with the NFL, Sony and Fox Sports, and 3D projects for network television."

"I am delighted to take on this new role in what has proven to be a dynamic and innovative company," said Ms. Douglass. "I look forward to our continuing success, and to the continuing, exciting evolution of 3D entertainment."

According to a report released in January by Piper Jaffray, 3D from Our Perspective: A Comprehensive Analysis of the Emerging 3D Ecosystem, new 3D technology will drive content production, displays and related technology to a sizeable market over the next few years, reaching an estimated $25B by 2012. 3ality Digital's image acquisition, processing and transmission technologies play a role in each part of this emerging ecosystem, as the company seeks to establish the standard for pixel-perfect, immersive live-action digital 3D.
