Leslie Urdang Promoted to President of Olympus Pictures

Company poised for growth with a continuing focus on high quality projects and increased distribution opportunities

SANTA MONICA, Calif. and MORRISTOWN, N.J., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Leslie Urdang has been named President of Santa Monica based Olympus Pictures, LLC, a motion picture company formed in 2007 to both develop and produce feature films. Leslie was formerly Senior Vice President - Producer.

Under Ms. Urdang's leadership, Olympus has had a strong start completing two feature films, both which have been featured at major film festivals. THE NARROWS, executive produced by Olympus, was an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008. The film stars Kevin Zegers, Sophia Bush and Vincent D'Onofrio and is slated for theatrical release in June 2009. Olympus produced ADAM starring Hugh Dancy, Rose Byrne, Peter Gallagher, Amy Irving and Frankie Faison. The film, purchased by Fox Searchlight, was featured at Sundance in 2009 in the dramatic competition and is also scheduled for release in 2009. Olympus has several projects in development including an untitled project inspired by the life of Selema Masekela and written by Steven Rivele and Christopher Wilkenson; the sci-fi thriller "Spin" with co-producer Rob Morrow and "Peony," an adaptation of the Pearl S. Buck book by Jeannine Dominy with Joe Roth and Stephen Scharf. Olympus also recently announced a theatrical distribution option agreement with Cinedigm Digital Media Corporation.

Prior to joining Olympus, Ms. Urdang founded Serenade films that produced TWELVE AND HOLDING (2006 Independent Spirit Award nominee), THE GREAT NEW WONDERFUL, GAME 6 and THE NARROWS. Other producing credits include A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, ME AND VERONICA, PEOPLE I KNOW.

Olympus Pictures' NYC based affiliate Olympus Theatricals, LLC develops and produces commercial theater projects. Both companies are part of Morristown NJ based Olympus Holdings, LLC.
