Studio One Media Partners With Mark Burnett Productions to Cast Reality TV Shows With MyStudio

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Utilizing a newly launched consumer technology to broaden the casting reach of reality television, Studio One Media, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SOMD) today announced a broad-based, multi-year agreement with Mark Burnett Productions to use Studio One's new MyStudio(TM) video recording studios to augment the casting of Mark Burnett TV shows. Mark Burnett Productions will also have the exclusive right to develop reality based TV shows with MyStudio content, which officially launched in Scottsdale on September 29.

Mark Burnett is responsible for some of TV's biggest reality hits including "Survivor," "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?", "The Apprentice", "Rock Band" (based on the popular video game), and the upcoming "Starmaker" (P. Diddy's new series offering the winner a deal with Bad Boy Records). Given that reality shows often hold live auditions only in a handful of cities, MyStudio has the potential to significantly expand audition opportunities for millions of people in markets across the U.S. as the technology rolls out nationwide.

"MyStudio makes it easier for people to audition for reality TV and showcase their best talents," offered Emmy winner Mark Burnett. "The quality of MyStudio's digital audio/video capabilities, its planned national rollout over the next year, and its online delivery mechanism all make Studio One Media a natural partner."

"This is a milestone deal that we believe affirms the viability of our new MyStudio recording studios to connect America with Hollywood and the entertainment industry," stated MyStudio Founder, Larry Ryckman. "We are excited to partner with Mark Burnett Productions and look forward to populating his television shows with talent discovered inside MyStudio."

With a goal to expand into a breadth of auditions and contests - spanning music, modeling, comedy and other areas - Studio One Media recently announced a nationwide competition with L.A. Models to discover new modeling talent via MyStudio. In July, Studio One also signed a groundbreaking multi-year pact with music giant EMI Music Publishing allowing a legal way for the public to create music videos using popular licensed music for internet viewing.
