Emmis VP/Finance Ryan Hornaday Promoted to SVP/Finance & Treasurer

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emmis Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:EMMS) today announced that Ryan Hornaday, Vice President/Finance, has been promoted to Senior Vice President/Finance and has taken on the additional duties of Treasurer.

Patrick Walsh, Emmis Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer, said the move was well-deserved. "Ryan is one of the more gifted finance executives I've encountered in my career. Emmis is counting on him to assume a key financial leadership role as I focus increasingly on the Emmis Radio efforts. All of us who have worked closely with Ryan know he is up to the challenge and will play a key role in Emmis' future."

The promotion, which is effective immediately, comes on the heels of Walsh's promotion to CFO/COO with oversight of Emmis' domestic radio operations.

Hornaday joined Emmis in 1999 as Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis after serving as a Senior Auditor with Arthur Andersen. He was promoted to Vice President/Finance and Assistant Treasurer in 2006. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Ball State University and passed the CPA exam in 1996.
