The studio announced today that it has registered its entire development project with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in order to pursue campus wide, new construction certification under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) standards. When completed, this will be the world's first completely "green" studio complex. The LEED process provides independent, third-party verification that a project meets the highest green building standards.
"By pursing LEED certification, we will create a holistic, state-of-the- art facility in Plymouth, and ensure that Massachusetts is a pioneer in sustainable, green practices," said David Kirkpatrick, co-founder of Plymouth Rock Studios.

"Gensler is thrilled to be part of this transformational project in the leadership of sustainable design practices in the entertainment industry," said Douglas C. Gensler, AIA, NCARB, managing director of Gensler Boston.
