Tosh Townend Skates onto Movie Set to Make Cameo Appearance on 'Pre-Pilot' Sitcom Starring Tadhg Kelly
LOS ANGELES, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned skateboarder Tosh Townend showed up in an unexpected cameo appearance in "S.P.: Untitled," a pre-pilot web sitcom currently shooting on the streets of Los Angeles.
Tosh showed up unexpected and immediately jumped into a scene. "It was crazy," said "S.P.: Untitled" star Tadhg Kelly. "He's like one of the best skaters in the world and we were just blown away that he stopped by," he added.
"I heard about SPU and thought this is the coolest thing. I just had to check it out, so I rolled in," said Townend.
"S.P.: Untitled" is a TV sitcom that is launching as a "pre-pilot" on the web. The sitcom uses advanced digital and web technology to change the production shooting and final ending depending on audience interaction. The production is anticipated to garner over 500,000 hits upon its launch in March 2008.
Tosh Townend is a professional skateboarder from Huntington Beach, California. He turned pro at the age of 15. Tosh Townend was sponsored by Element when he was 11, and is now on the pro team.
Tosh Townend's father is Australian Peter Townend, the 1976 surfing world champion.
