Greater China Media and Entertainment Corporation Announces Production of New TV Series ''Rose Thorn''
BEIJING, March 27 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Greater China Media & Entertainment Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: GCME) , an integrated professional media and entertainment company, has announced that local Chinese company Beijing HuaDing Century International Cultural Limited Corp. ("Beijing HuaDing"), a company organized and existing under the laws of the People's Republic of China, which is 70% owned by an affiliate of GCME, has signed a trust agreement with Beijing Jin Ying Xiang Media Culture Limited Corp. ("Jin Ying Xiang") to produce "Rose Thorn", a 24-episode TV series.
Per the agreement, Beijing HuaDing will make a total investment of RMB 8,280,000 (approximately US 1,200,000) as the production and script fee. Jin Ying Xiang will be in charge of production and post-production. Beijing HuaDing will exclusively own the copyright and soundtrack, script and any other derivative products.
"Rose Thorn is the company's third series play following the movie "Tough Guy" and the television series "Poor Dad, Rich Dad". The miniseries is scheduled to be released in 27 major cities across China," said Jake Wei, CEO of the Company. "The conservative return on investment is expected to exceed RMB 13,200,000 (approximately US 1,900,000), an almost 60% return rate which we expect to achieve within two years."
