EcoMedia(R) and Worldwide Pants Incorporated Announce Content Partnership
Relationship is Part of EcoMedia's Pursuit of Bringing Entertainment to the Green Media Market
NEW YORK, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- EcoMedia, a leading environmental media company dedicated to helping corporations improve the environment while connecting with their consumers, today announced a new partnership with Worldwide Pants Incorporated (WPI), the Emmy Award-winning production company created by David Letterman, host of The Late Show with David Letterman.
The Worldwide Pants/EcoMedia partnership will create original, unscripted, environment-related content, in the style of The Late Show remote segments, for television and Internet distribution. The collaboration will begin production in the fall of 2008.
"We are extremely excited to partner with EcoMedia and look forward to creating entertainment that will hopefully not only be funny, but will also move viewers toward better, more sustainable practices in everyday life," said Rob Burnett, President and CEO of Worldwide Pants. "EcoMedia has a head start on this growing media niche and we are delighted to have access to its expertise."
The new partnership is one of the many ways EcoMedia is working to combine marketers' green messages with their eco-friendly media platforms. These alliances help fund environmental projects and technologies that generate measurable results in local communities. EcoMedia is driven by the philosophy that real environmental progress requires the direct involvement of the business community, resulting in a uniquely sustainable private-public partnership. In living up to that philosophy, the company funds environmental programs and provides businesses a value proposition that no other media company can: help them meet their marketing, social responsibility, community affairs and PR objectives while having a measurable impact on the environment.
"Our partnership with Worldwide Pants affords us the opportunity to work with the leaders in this industry to produce meaningful content on behalf of the environment," said EcoMedia CEO and Founder, Paul Polizzotto. "I am extremely pleased that an enlightened and successful group such as Worldwide Pants sees the value of our business model. We see this as lasting partnership with significant potential to educate and entertain."
