Calling All Funny Families! 'Bee' a Star With Hostess'(R) 'Bee Funny' Video Contest

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Do you have a funny family? Do you think they have what it takes to be stars? In connection with the DVD release of Bee Movie, Hostess(R), the maker of America's most iconic snack cakes, is searching for America's funniest families to create the most creative scripts and film the most hilarious videos for a chance to win Hostess' "Bee Funny" contest. And people are sure to buzz over the prizes -- the Grand Prize is a four day/three night summer vacation for four in New York City. Other prizes up for grabs include HP(R) Laptop entertainment packages, Sony(R) Handycam(R) High-Definition Camcorders and TiVo(R) Digital Video Recorders, among others.

Starting March 3, 2008, consumers can visit the Hostess "Main Hive" at www.hostessbeefunny.com to create a script and upload a video acting out their original scripts. Participants are encouraged to perform their scripts in the funniest ways possible utilizing props, family members and friends. Within 48 hours after being uploaded, videos will be posted to the website for people across the country to view. Each video will be ranked by a panel of comedy veterans from the Bee Movie production team who will evaluate the video submissions on the levels of creativity and comedy. The top 20 scoring videos will be eligible to receive one of 9 prizes.
