This year Rock Angel is proud to have three of Orange County's best and most unique bands play the 2007 Rock Angel Toy Drive. A new, unwrapped toy is your ticket in to see The Action Heroes, Full Blown Karma and Handsome Devil.
Full Blown Karma (FBK) is a power trio out of Orange County. They have a penchant for hooky melodic songs delivered with a high energy. Formed in the winter of 2001 the band consists of Allen Willingham on vocals and guitar, drummer Michael Beck and bassist, Henry Rosello. Full Blown Karma have been featured on the G-Man's Freak Show and opened for Great White on New Year's Eve 2002. Allen Willingham is also responsible for organizing Rock Angel's Orange County events since 2004.
Coming straight out of Orange County California, The Action Heroes are determined to be a Leading Force in the Alternative Rock scene. Lead by the Dynamic Vocals of Johny Robbins, the Undeniable twin Guitars of Victor Camacho and Steven Garth, the Power of James Emery on Bass, and the Rock Solid Justin Bozek on Drums. Their Focus has always been well written songs with catchy hooks and a tight sound that remains true to the band's hard edge.
Handsome Devil features lead vocalist Danny Walker, guitarist Billie Stevens, drummer Keith Morgan, and bassist Brian Wedmore. In 1999, Handsome Devil hit the clubs in Southern California, performing with relentless conviction. Though influenced by the Clash, AC/DC, and Social Distortion, whose front man Mike Ness produced their former group WANK, Handsome Devil ultimately focused on having an original style and sound. In January 2001, Handsome Devil was signed to RCA Records. Their debut album, Love and Kisses from the Underground (2001), produced by legendary producer Ed Stasium (Ramones) and Jeremy Popoff, featured the radio single/MTV videos Makin' Money and Bring It On. Handsome Devil further developed their unique brand of no-nonsense rock with their sophomore effort, mixed by Cameron Webb (Social Distortion), releasing Knock Yourself Out (2003), which spawned the single/video Hello Somebody and the HD-style cover of Bette Davis Eyes. Both Handsome Devil albums garnered critical acclaim and the overwhelming approval of fans worldwide. Supporting their releases with six national tours, the Vans Warped Tour, radio shows, and a live television performance of Makin' Money on The Late Show, Handsome Devil is a lean, mean, touring machine, exhibiting a ferocious live show, a strong work ethic, and a humble appreciation of their fans.
