Genre Writing, Pitching, Industry Execs, Networking Also Highlight 2007 Mega-Conference

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Two-time Academy Award(R) winner William Goldman (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President's Men) will speak at this year's Screenwriting Expo 6, his fourth consecutive appearance as a featured Guest of Honor speaker. Also added to the Guest of Honor lineup are Academy Award(R) nominee Scott Frank (Out of Sight, The Lookout), Stuart Beattie (3:10 to Yuma, Collateral), acclaimed television writer/director Danny Cannon (CSI, The 11th Hour) and Robert Ward (Hill St. Blues, New York Undercover).

The just-announced names are added to a Guest of Honor list already consisting of star Hollywood screenwriters such as Michael Goldenberg (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Academy Award(R) nominated Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Shrek), Bill Lawrence (Scrubs), Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Transformers, Mission Impossible III), Tina Andrews (Sally Hemings: An American Scandal), Academy Award(R) winner Steven Zaillian (Schindler's List, American Gangster) and Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander (1408, Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt). Other notable writers hosting program sessions are Ed Solomon (Men in Black), Stephen Susco (The Grudge), Tim Minear (Angel, Wonderfalls) and Ellen Sandler (Everybody Loves Raymond).

Screenwriting Expo 6 offers more than 300 instructional seminars, many of which focus on specific disciplines, genres and niches, including 15 programs on comedy writing, 10 programs on the horror/thriller genre, 12 on television writing, 19 on story pitching, and many more.

Complementing the array of seminars will be valuable networking opportunities, including four evening parties attended by agents, managers and production executives who will be on hand to teach selected programs and hear registrants' story pitches in the annual Golden Pitch sessions.
