Strum Your Stuff and Keep a Needy Child Warm - Jamie's to Host Acoustic Guitar Competition to Benefit Project Bundle-Up

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bring your guitar and your talent to Jamie's restaurant in the South Hills and help keep a needy child warm this winter. Beginning October 12th, the "Acousti-Classic" Acoustic Guitar Competition will be held at Jamie's for four consecutive Fridays at 7:30 pm. Competitors will pay a registration fee of $20 and be asked to play three selections. Participants will be evaluated by a team of professionals for originality, stage presence, vocals and overall performance. Audience vote will count towards 25% of the final score. Partially sponsored by Empire Music, all proceeds will benefit WTAE-TV Channel 4 and The Salvation Army's Project Bundle-Up.

Jamie's has deep roots in Western Pennsylvania, with the Petrolias family serving generations of Pittsburghers. "We are delighted to partner with Jamie's," said Melissa Fereday, Project Bundle-Up Director. "Each year we provide more than 8,000 children and seniors with new winter outerwear and our waiting list continues to grow. These types of community fundraisers are crucial and we hope everyone comes out to support the competitions."

Finals will be held on Friday, November 9th. Top prize is a Taylor 410 Acoustic Guitar. Others include free studio time, guitar lessons and much more.
