Ring in the Holidays: Internationally Acclaimed Handbell Ensemble to Perform Holiday Concert in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Raleigh Ringers bring their musical brilliance and unforgettable stage presence to Pittsburgh in a special December 1st concert. In addition to holiday favorites, unique interpretations of sacred, secular and popular music, including famous rock 'n' roll tunes arranged just for handbells -- all will be on the evening's program. The ensemble of 17 ringers perform on one of the most extensive collections of bells and bell-like instruments owned by any other handbell ensemble in the world, numbering over 350. In just 17 years, The Raleigh Ringers has made a significant impact on the world's handbell music repertoire by commissioning more than 70 compositions and arrangements for handbells. Under the direction of David M. Harris, The Raleigh Ringers has released four CDs and a DVD of a holiday concert titled "One Winter Evening in Meymandi." This same concert was also broadcast on more than 250 public television stations in 44 states.

Dan Volitich, President and co-founder of John Daniel Associates, and David Harris marched side by side in the Penn State Blue Band many years ago and Dan is pleased to introduce David and his popular ensemble to Pittsburgh.
