Battle of the Bands TV Movie Scores Triple-Digit Increases in Key Demos, Drawing Almost 4 Million Total Viewers and 2 Million Kids 6-11

The Naked Brothers Band Debut Album Hits Shelves Today, Following Virgin Megastore CD Signing in New York City

NEW YORK, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon's hit "mockumentary" comedy series, The Naked Brothers Band, rocked out in its very first one-hour television movie, Battle of the Bands, on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), ranking as the number-one show on television for the week of Oct. 1 in all key kid demos (kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14). The event delivered a strong 3.8 million total viewers (P2+), up +37% over last year's like time period. Battle of the Bands also experienced double-digit percentage increases with key kid demos compared to last year, earning a 9.6/2.0 million kids 6-11 (up +71%); a 7.7/1.6 million tweens 9-14 (+50%); and a 6.9/2.4 million kids 2-11 (up +42%).

The Naked Brothers Band TV movie repeated on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT), where it garnered a 7.6/1.6 million with its core demo, kids 6-11 (up +46%), and 3.0 million total viewers (up +30% in delivery). A new Halloween episode of The Naked Brothers Band, entitled Alien Clones, will premiere on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Today, Nickelodeon and Columbia Records release The Naked Brothers Band debut CD, which includes 15 all-original songs from the hit series written and performed by the show's stars, Nat and Alex Wolff. The Naked Brothers Band participated in a special pre-release signing on Oct. 8 in New York City's Virgin Megastore in Time Square, where more than 2,000 kids and parents lined up to see the band. Also available now at retail is The Naked Brothers Band: Battle of the Bands DVD, which includes the top-rated title movie as well as additional episodes and music videos.

The hit series continues to break barriers across a variety of platforms. Tween participated in an online frenzy on Nick.com, with more than 22,000 visitors (up +171%) to the message boards for the week of Oct. 1, leveraging it as the number-two board for the week. The Battle of the Bands online event totaled more than 1.6 million streams of content on TurboNick for the week of Oct. 1 (up +33% over prior week). Total streams since launch on TurboNick (Sept. 24) for the TV Movie event reached 2.8 million streams. The Naked Brothers Bands: Battle of the Bands online game was in the top three for the week of Oct. 1, with 299,000 game plays (source: Omniture SiteCatalyst).

In The Naked Brothers Band one-hour TV movie Battle of the Bands, Nat Wolff and Alex Wolff along with the gang become entangled in a musical tug-of- war when the popular and edgier mega-rock band, the L.A. Surfers are booked to play at the same charity event. The two tween rock bands vie in an unspoken competition for band supremacy. Nat not only competes for center stage but in an unexpected twist of fate ... for Rosalina's heart.

The premiere of The Naked Brothers Band television series delivered Nickelodeon's highest-rated premiere in seven years with kids 6-11 and the series quickly became one of the top programs for kids 6-11 and tweens on television.
