Lifetime Networks Names MTV's Mike Greco as New Executive Vice President, Research

NEW YORK, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetime Networks President and CEO Andrea Wong announced today that Mike Greco, one of MTV's top research strategists, has been named Lifetime's new Executive Vice President, Research, effective immediately.

This marks Wong's second major hire following the August appointment of Bob Bibb and Lew Goldstein as Co-Chief Marketing Officers.

Greco, who most recently was Senior Vice President, Research, MTV, will succeed Tim Brooks, who earlier this year announced his plans to retire as the company's head of research, and will serve as a consultant to Lifetime until the end of the year.

Based in New York, Greco will be responsible for all research concerning Lifetime Television, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women programming, as well as Lifetime Digital, Advertising and Affiliate Sales.

Said Wong: "Mike's strong experience, strategic abilities and creative thinking have earned him the reputation as one of the industry's outstanding research executives. These broad-based skills will be a perfect fit as we redefine and expand the role of research to increase brand growth across all our platforms. While welcoming Mike, we are also saying goodbye to Tim Brooks, a true national treasure, who has made enormous contributions to the company for nearly eight years, as well as serving as a research source to the entire industry."

As Senior Vice President, Research at MTV, a position he held since 2004, Greco oversaw all primary and secondary research across all MTV brands, including MTV, MTV2, MTV.com, MTVU and MTV3res, and its platforms from on-air, online, broadband, VOD and wireless to non-traditional distribution.

Greco joined MTV in 2000 as Vice President, MTV Research. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Broadcast Research at OMD USA.

Greco graduated from Bryant College (Rhode Island) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
