Humans Respond Quickly to Pets Affected by Fires
Video shows the power of the human heart
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- A week after fires displaced families including those with pets, a new YouTube video is serving as a testament to how humans rally for one another including our furry friends.
While dropping off bags of pet food at the San Bernardino Fairgrounds evacuation center, DogCatRadio.com captured countless moments on video and has now added them on YouTube.
"It was overwhelming," says Jane Harris, DiscJockey at DogCatRadio.com. "Tragedies do bring out the best in humans sometimes."
DogCatRadio.com and Natural Balance pet food teamed and delivered close to three tons of pet food to families with pets who were displaced by the San Bernardino fires.
"Many of those affected by the fires are fans of our radio station," says Adrian Martinez, president of DogCatRadio.com. "We wanted to help any way we could, sort of give back. We're extremely grateful to Natural Balance for having joined us in our relief effort."
The video, which aims to show the power of human kindness, also shows displaced pets in their temporary shelter.
"I want to send my heartfelt thanks to all the people that have done their best to give us everything that we need," says Mark Scina, Lieutenant, Animal Care Control.
