Artists Pay Homage to Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' With a 20ft Tall Jack Replica
RENO, Nev., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Two jointly owned companies partnered in an elaborate attempt to exercise their creativity in honor of Tim Burton and his film "The Nightmare Before Christmas." 3V Media and ArtSoul Studies felt the need to expand their artistic abilities beyond computer and traditional artwork. Collaboratively the two companies decided to find a mutual, hands on project that would create an outlet for relaxation, a temporary mind escape and an overall inspirational tool to help get the creative juices flowing. Throughout a typical workweek, 3V Media specializes in DVD authoring and is a multi-media studio while ArtSoul Studios works designing original pieces such as murals, drawings and computer based art. Holly and Nick Reviglio felt that the only way to get back to their artistic roots was by creating a 20-foot tall replica of the whimsical character Jack Skellington. This papier-mache figure took over two months of on and off work to design, build and fully assemble the character on the Nevada residents front yard. Nick Reviglio was pleased with the final unveiling just days before Halloween. Holly Reviglio, filled with excitement over its completion stated, "As artists we are constantly looking for ways to reinvent ourselves. In the everyday work force you become confined to a keyboard and a mouse making it hard for imagination and spontaneity to occur. Tim Burton is an inspiration to us and we respect his ingenious approach to creativity. Together we decided that in order to spark that fire within we would use this character as our muse in hopes to inspire not only our ourselves but all those who see 'Jack' and realize that anything is possible."
