Ableton AG has Reached Number 20 in the Fast 50 - Germany's Fastest Growing Technology Companies - and was a Finalist in the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2007" Competition
BERLIN, October 24/PRNewswire/ -- Ableton AG, one of the world's leading providers of standard music software, announced its ranking in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a listing of the fastest growing technology companies in Germany. Ranking in the listing is based on a company's aggregate percentage revenue growth calculated over the last five years, from 2002 to 2006. Ableton AG was able to tally a growth rate of over 560 percent during the period, thus grabbing the number 20 spot in the Fast 50 ranking.
Moreover, the Board of Directors at Ableton AG, consisting of Gerhard Behles (CEO), Bernd Roggendorf (CTO) and Jan Bohl (COO/CFO), was among the finalists in the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2007" award. For the 11th time now, tax and consulting firm Ernst & Young nominated the top medium-sized companies in Germany. More than 350 competitors took part this year in the strict, multitiered selection process that leads to the Entrepreneur of the Year 2007.
This makes Ableton one of the fastest growing and most innovative companies in Germany. Since its founding in 1999, Ableton has been developing and marketing modern music software for DJs, musicians, bands, film score composers and theatre sound systems. The company's flagship product, Ableton Live, has made Ableton AG one of the leaders in the music industry and has been distinguished with a number of coveted industry-wide awards.
"We are proud to be one of the fastest growing and most innovative technology companies in Germany," said Jan Bohl. "We have managed to form a solid commercial framework with the development and marketing of music software over the last several years and we have a fast-growing customer base in the international music business."
Version 7 of Ableton Live and a new series of software instruments will be launched onto the market soon. "We are looking forward to the positive feedback from customers regarding the announcement of Ableton Live 7 and the new instruments," said Gerhard Behles. Ableton cooperated for the first time on this release with Applied Acoustics Systems, a renowned Canadian software company specialising in software instruments. "We are very happy with the results of this cooperation," continued Behles.
