Philadelphia Bar Association Lawyers to Rock at 'Lawyerpalooza' Tomorrow
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Philadelphia lawyers will trade their briefcases for saxophones, bass guitars and pianos when the Philadelphia Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division hosts the first-ever Lawyerpalooza -- a concert featuring bands made up of Philadelphia lawyers of all ages -- on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Kildare's at 2nd and South streets, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Lawyerpalooza Planning Committee has put together an eclectic mix of performances, made up of Philadelphia lawyers playing various instruments and styles of music. Bands confirmed so far include A Band Called M, Class Action, Brand New Gods, and Pray for Mojo. Attorney Brad Shuttleworth will also be performing.
"Everyone loves music and we seem to have many lawyers who are passionate not only about the law, but about playing music," said Alan Nochumson, chair of the Young Lawyers Division. "I thought it would be great to try something outside the box for a YLD event."
"Although this is our first year, Philadelphia's Lawyerpalooza is attracting quite a bit of attention. Numerous Philadelphia lawyers, as well as lawyers in New Jersey, have expressed interest."
Lawyerpalooza is open to the public. Tickets for the event cost $10 and are on sale now at HYPERLINK "http://www.philadelphiabar.org/" www.philadelphiabar.org and can also be purchased at the door.
