Wisely Added to Bill for August 12th I-35W Minnesota Bridge Relief Concert

Minneapolis Raised Singer-Songwriter Wisely Just Added to Bill; On August 12th, The Fine Line Music Cafe to Host I-35W Bridge Relief Concert Benefiting the Minnesota Helps Fund: Bridge Disaster Fund

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Musicians from Minneapolis and around the country will gather at Fine Line Music Cafe on Sunday, August 12 to assist the I-35W Bridge Relief Effort. 100% of the door and a percentage of bar sales will be donated to the Minnesota Helps Fund: Bridge Disaster Fund. The Minnesota Helps Bridge Disaster Fund has been created in response to that outpouring of community concern. The purpose of the fund is to collect contributions and distribute them effectively to help the victims, rescuers, and families affected by the bridge collapse.

Just added to the bill is Minneapolis-raised singer-songwriter Wisely. He notes, "I'm very pleased to participate in this concert and in my own small way, do something to help those who have suffered as a result of this unbelievable tragedy. Being a father now, twice over, the fragilty of life is made evident every single day. We need to nurture one another, care for the less-able and reach out to those suffering from such mind-boggling tragedy."

In addition to Wisely, artists performing to help those that have suffered loss in this disaster are: Hairball, The Melismatics, The Alarmists, Christy Love & You Know Who, Charlz Newman, the Abdomen, Send Up The Room, and Pop Rocks.

More on Wisely: Wisely's new self-titled Oglio release hits stores October 2. His music features a lush and heartfelt sound described as "evocative pop." For this, his 3rd album, the artist teamed with co-producer/drummer Petur Smith (The Januaries, Jason Falkner), and calls upon contributions from Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney), Joshua Grange (Dwight Yoakam), Rick Boston (Low Pop Suicide), Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (The Soundtrack Of Our Lives), and Ludwig Boss (Boss, Ray Wonder). The album was recorded in the legendary singer-songwriter refuge Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles) as well as in Gothenburg and Malmo (Sweden).

The evening will also include a silent auction featuring music and sports memorabilia.
