Duttons Are Top Ten on America's Got Talent Branson Family Finalists in NBC's Hit Show

BRANSON, Mo., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After making it through the initial auditions, the short list and the twenty semifinalists in NBC's hit television show America's Got Talent, Branson's Dutton Family is now in the final stage of competition amongst the Top Ten Finalists vying for the $1,000,000 grand prize.

Performing "La Bamba" last Tuesday as the second group of ten semifinalists, the American public voted for the Duttons to join the Top Ten Finalists in the competition -- despite lukewarm comments from the judges. Piers Morgan buzzed them because he didn't like the song and Sharon Osbourne criticized their stage choreography for too much movement. Only David Hasselhoff seemed convinced that they would move on to the Finalists. Results of the vote were announced during last night's show.

Sheila Dutton, family matriarch of the talented group of siblings, exclaimed, "We are blessed to have made it to the Final 10. The level of talent in this competition has been awesome. We can't thank the American public enough for voting us into the finals. We are working extremely hard to maintain the confidence they have in us."

Dean, the father of the clan, pointed out, "We really feel that this is excellent exposure for everyone in the Branson community. For whatever the reason, we are the only act that has been so closely identified with our hometown -- Branson!"

Throughout the remaining episodes, the judges can comment on the performances, but the American public will control the results by their telephone and Internet voting, visit http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Got_Talent/ for voting rules and information
