Co-Produced by Heart of Gold Entertainment and Guitars for Life
LOS ANGELES, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, August 9, an extraordinary, world-class talent showcase at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood presents "Outrageous Young Entertainers Association Honors" (O- YEAH). Doors open at 7PM show at 8PM. Co-produced by Heart Of Gold Entertainment (HGE) and Guitars For Life (GFL). O-YEAH is an ongoing series of concerts featuring astonishing young musical prodigies from around the world. These young stars will inspire the audience with their virtues, performing for their charity of choice (helping children less fortunate). Tickets are $20, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting each artist's charity. For information and tickets, visit www.knittingfactory.com.
The Aug. 9 line-up features 16 year-old electric violinist Antonio Pontarelli from Temecula, CA. Antonio began playing at age three. In 2005 he won NBC-TV's America's Most Talented Kids, a riveting performance of "Purple Haze." Also featuring 16 year old amazing guitarists Eliott Janz from Wisconsin; Las Vegas' very own "guitar shredding" Chris Iorio; 12 year-old "Pride Of Virginia" singer-songwriter & guitarist Grant Austin Taylor, also America's Most Talented Kids winner and recipient of the Young Artists Award for Outstanding Young Original Blues-Rock Artist; Fredrik Strand Halland a 13 year-old Norwegian often compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan; New Jersey's own Anthony Wagner, he started drumming at age 4. Anthony has won several competitions including Guitar Center Drum Off. Special performance by S. Cal based adult guitarist Ronny North, who mentors many young musicians. HGE and GFL are grateful to Mills Acoustic, who is providing sound equipment for O- YEAH and endorses both North and Pontarelli.
HGE Executive Director Bill Boyrer and GFL founders Casey & Mari Morris share a commitment in bringing extraordinary young artists to the public's eye and their hearts to the world, performing for their favorite charities. Boyrer and the Morris' believe they can help others through music with the youth of today. O-YEAH will inspire and encourage young people to a higher standard in philanthropy as well as musically. What we want the audience to experience is "outrageous music and the unique hearts of each child giving back with their gift."
HGE's motto "Great Music For Great Causes" and GFL's "Musicians with a Heart, working together to enhance the lives of children less fortunate".
