SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trident Technologies, Inc. (TTI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Microsystems, Inc., (NASDAQ: TRID), a worldwide leader in developing advanced digital TV technology for the consumer digital video marketplace, today announced that Metz-Werke GmbH, a leader in the premium European TV market, will use Trident's SVP EX with DCRe(TM) to power its new family of Milos LCD TVs. "Our goal at Metz is to design and manufacture the world's finest televisions. We will not compromise on any aspect of our products, and video performance is, of course, a critical feature," said Dr. Norbert Kotzbauer, Managing Director of Metz. "We are very happy with the video quality offered by Trident's SVP EX and we are particularly pleased with the SVP EX's noise suppression, sharpness and color management. Its advanced capability helps us to provide our customers with the best possible LCD TV picture quality," concluded Dr. Kotzbauer.

It is our determination and product strategy to continue raising the bar of video quality in every new generation of our products to offer uncompromising video quality to the mass market."
