Sharon Stone Joins Songwriter Denise Rich, Producers/Songwriters Mark Feist & Damon Sharpe to Announce the Release and Preview of Charity Song and Video

'Come Together Now' is an all-star collaboration with internationally acclaimed artists to benefit Hurricane Disaster Relief

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharon Stone, Denise Rich, Mark Feist and Damon Sharpe will hold a press conference, at 2:00pm, to announce the much anticipated release of their celebrity supported charity song, "Come Together Now." The writers/producers will unveil their poignant single and preview the touching video to selected press.

All of the net proceeds from the single will benefit victims of the recent Hurricane Katrina disaster that devastated our Nation. Proceeds will be split between two charities; Habitat for Humanity which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action, and Angels' Place which provided homes for terminally ill children (and their families) which were destroyed by the hurricane and must be rebuilt.

"Come Together Now," originally inspired by the Tsunami tragedy, is the first major all-star collaboration for charity since "We Are The World" which was released over 20 years ago. The lyrics convey a universal theme that promotes unity in times of adversity and encourages people to reach out with compassion and understanding. This inspirational song blends R&B, Rap, Pop & A/C with a soulful melody that will be sung across the world.

The momentous song will be available Tuesday, October 18th for download on iTunes and Rhapsody, and the video will premier exclusively on AOL First View worldwide the same day. The song will be distributed by New York independent label "785 Records." Exclusive content will be available on LG Mobile Phone's website, Lifewithlg.com.

Additionally, the song "Come Together Now" is the title track of an extraordinary industry-wide benefit record that will aid victims of the recent hurricanes along the Gulf Coast. The record, "Hurricaine Relief Come Together Now", will be released in mid-November and will feature some of the worlds most popular artists including: Coldplay, Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Sting,

Bonnie Raitt, John Mayer and Lenny Kravitz, among many, many others." All net proceeds will be divided equally among 3 charities, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and MusicCares.

Many of today's most successful international recording artists generously donated their vocals for the charity single by recording their individual parts of the song over the past few weeks. Celebrities participating in the collaboration include: Celine Dion, Natalie Cole, Nick Carter, Joss Stone, Jesse McCartney, Patti LaBelle, Wyclef Jean, Chingy, Gavin DeGraw, Anthony Hamilton, The Game, JoJo, John Legend, Kimberley Locke, Brian McKnight, AJ McLean, Mya, Aaron Carter, Stacie Orrico, Kelly Price, Lee Ryan, Angie Stone, Garu, Glenn Lewis, Tren'l, R.L. Huggar, and Ruben Studdard.

The DVD was documented by talented Hollywood director Bille Woodruff (Honey, Beauty Shop) and uses footage from CNN and BBC's coverage of the hurricanes. It reaches its viewer by showing the victims' total devastation, making aware that such tragedy can strike any of us at any time, and that its recovery is obtainable through helping one person at a time. The mixing of the song involved more than one hundred and sixty separate tracks, which included never before utilized technologies and was mixed by legendary engineer Jon Gass under Mark Feist and Damon Sharpe's direction. Technology was pushed to new limits to accommodate all 26 lead vocals on the track.

The project was funded by Executive Producers Denise Rich, Sharon Stone and underwritten with the help of Bill Austin and LG Mobile Phones. The project was co-coordinated by Co-Executive Producers Kieron Kawall, Keisha Escoffery, and David Munk.

Music taps into our senses, memories and emotions, this song is meant to make each and every one of us put all of our differences aside, to be a call to action to help those in need, and for us to realize that no matter how small of an effort we offer as individuals, together we can do great things. The superstar artists on this song are diverse in age, race, and style much like the victims we need to reach, and as the song suggests we all must Come Together Now.
