Comcast Launches WBAL 11 News ON DEMAND Throughout Central Maryland

Customers Can Now Access Local News 24 Hours a Day From Local Affiliates of Three Major Networks in Baltimore, Md.

BALTIMORE, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast and WBAL-TV 11 today announced a partnership in Baltimore to launch WBAL's news programs ON DEMAND throughout Central Maryland beginning Monday, October 17, 2005. Comcast is now one of the few markets in the country to offer news broadcasts from three different stations -- WBAL-TV NBC 11, WMAR-TV ABC 2 and WJZ-TV CBS 13 -- ON DEMAND.

Comcast Digital Cable customers will now be able to access local news programming from all three stations 24 hours a day at their convenience.

The news programming from WBAL, WMAR and WJZ is currently available ON DEMAND exclusively to Comcast Digital Cable customers in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, the City of Annapolis, Harford County and Howard County. Each news segment will be available to these customers ON DEMAND immediately after it airs live.

"By having news broadcasts from three major stations in Baltimore available ON DEMAND, Comcast is truly placing all important local news at the fingertips of our Digital Cable customers," said Barbara A. Gehrig, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Maryland-Delaware Region. "Through partnerships with WBAL, WMAR and WJZ, Comcast can deliver local news and information to our customers in a format that is convenient and easy for them to access."
