MicroDisplay Corp. Appoints Christopher Norris as CEO
SAN PABLO, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroDisplay Corporation, the technology leader in Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) components, today announced that its board of directors has named Christopher Norris to serve as the company's chief executive officer.
Prior to joining MicroDisplay, Norris spent the last 10 years as a vice president and general manager of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, most recently for the Consumer and Computation Division. Under Norris' lead, Cypress created and sold products for a diverse range of applications, from personal computers, gaming devices and media players, to networking equipment such as routers and switches.
John Malloy, MicroDisplay board member and partner at Blue Run Ventures, said that MicroDisplay's board selected Norris based on his track record for leading a complex organization, as well as his strong executive and personal qualities.
