MediaBay to Promote SoundsGood.com Audiobook Service on Nationally Syndicated Radio Program, Imus in the Morning

Exclusive media campaign will support SoundsGood.com in front of one of the largest morning audiences in the United States, on a talk show that frequently hosts best-selling authors and provides exposure for new releases

CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MediaBay, Inc. (NASDAQ:MBAY) today announced that it will incorporate its audiobook service into The Imus in the Morning program (flagship station -- WFAN-AM) beginning in late October. The award-winning radio host, whose show is broadcast on more than 90 radio stations across the country and simulcast on MSNBC television five days a week, will drive listeners to MediaBay's newly launched SoundsGood.com website where they can purchase audiobook titles. Terms of the promotion were not disclosed.

Imus program listeners will be directed to SoundsGood.com -- MediaBay's new audiobook and spoken word download service -- following interviews with authors who appear on the show. SoundsGood.com will be branded as the show's exclusive bookseller and listeners will be informed how they can access audiobooks and programs, via digital downloads or on traditional media such as CDs and cassette tapes.

In addition, each day on the program, Imus will read a "SoundsGood Minute" to educate consumers about the ongoing digital revolution and how easy it is for consumers to visit SoundsGood.com, search for audio books, and download them to their PC. The announcements will explain to listeners the benefits of the new SoundsGood audiobook service over other offerings, including ease of use, price savings, and the choice between downloaded audio or conventional CD and cassette purchases.

"In line with our strategy to leverage the brand equity of celebrities and companies that can reach our targeted audience for spoken word content, we identified Don Imus as one of the best spokespeople in the country who can reach millions of commuters each week. Imus's love of books and his 25 year history of identifying and introducing new literary works by leading authors make him a perfect partner to help introduce SoundsGood.com," said Jeff Dittus, Chief Executive Officer of MediaBay.

SoundsGood.com is an easy to use download service where anyone can save money by downloading audiobooks and burning them to CDs or transferring them to Windows Media ready devices. "We hope to work with our publishing partners to leverage this promotional vehicle as a new way audiobooks are introduced to the marketplace," said Mr. Dittus.
