NimbleMusic Launches SmartRip

NimbleMusic Launches SmartRip

Makes it Easy to put Entire CD Collection on iPod

SOUTH ROYALTON, Vt., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Contrary to popular belief, digital music does not have to be purchased online, song by expensive song, to fill up your iPod(R). According to Peter Haimovitz, president of NimbleMusic(TM), the smartest place to start building your digital music library and populating your iPod is your own CD collection.

"People have a vast music resource just waiting to be tapped," says Haimovitz. "But do-it-yourself CD conversion is time consuming and can be technically challenging."

NimbleMusic, based in South Royalton, Vermont wants to make the move to digital music easy and fun by doing this cumbersome task for its customers. NimbleMusic's SmartRip(TM) service professionally converts a customer's CD collection into an organized digital music library (MP3) and loads it onto their iPod or other MP3 player. This MP3 library is sorted by song name, artist, album and musical genre, allowing for the easy creation of custom play lists and song mixes. The SmartRip Service also includes a vibrant CD/Song Index with color-rich album art, and a back up of all digital music files on DVD data discs. Customers also have the option to purchase an external hard drive for their MP3 library.

NimbleMusic, LLC(TM) announced today that it has formally launched its digital music "ripping" service, SmartRip(TM), the first such professional offering in New England.

"Most people want instant gratification when they purchase or are given an iPod," says Haimovitz. They don't want to spend six months ripping their CDs onto their computer in order to load their player. They'd much rather spend 10 minutes learning how to use the new player and the rest of their time enjoying the music that's on there.

Pricing and Availability

Service pricing is based on the number of CDs to be converted. For example, 50 or fewer CDs: $75 or $1.50 per CD. 200 CDs: $250 or $1.25 per CD. 500 CDs: $375 or $.75 per CD. NimbleMusic's industrial strength equipment and technology/media savvy professionals guarantee CD-quality sound for the converted music. SmartRip conversion service is available now. NimbleMusic's SmartRip Service can be ordered on-line at http://www.nimblemusic.com/.

Customers receive a custom packing kit for their CDs and a pre-paid return-shipping label. Shipping is done through UPS and each CD is insured for $10. In a week's time, they get back their iPod loaded up with their CD collection, their MP3 library on DVD data discs or on an external hard drive, and their CDs are returned.

"Once you've built your core MP3 library with songs and CDS that you already own, Haimovitz noted, "using a legal music download service makes sense. They're great for filling in holes in your music library and adding to it with new artists, songs and entire CDs, though still a bit pricey," he added.
