Robert Earl Keen to Headline Benefit; Mayor Will Wynn to Model Up-and-Coming Fashion

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Red Cross of Central Texas is excited to announce its second-annual fashion show event, Threads. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the Austin Music Hall. At a critical time for the Red Cross, the Central Texas chapter will use money raised at Threads to support efforts in local disaster preparedness and relief work.

Threads will showcase the hottest fashion trends, and new this year; all clothing featured will be from local Austin boutiques. "Celebrity" models include Mayor Will Wynn and Toby Futrell. In addition to fashion, attendees will enjoy food and live music from Robert Earl Keen, The Gourds and Billy Harvey. The American Red Cross will also sponsor a silent auction including food & wine packages, a bed & breakfast weekend, cultural events, autographed local music memorabilia, an evening on the town, jewelry & fashion and makeovers. Bidding starts at 6:30 p.m. when the doors open.
