Final Televised Detroit Mayoral Debate to be Simulcast Live on WXYZ-TV and News/Talk 760 WJR, October 20, 7 p.m.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 and WJR radio (760 on the AM dial) will simulcast a one-hour live debate featuring Detroit Mayoral candidates Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and challenger Freman Hendricks as they square off in the final televised debate prior to the November 8th election. The debate, which will be broadcast on WXYZ-TV on Thursday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m. and simulcast on News/Talk 760 WJR, is also sponsored by Inforum (formerly the Women's Economic Club).

Broadcast live from Channel 7's Broadcast House, the debate will be moderated by WXYZ Editorial and Public Affairs Director Chuck Stokes. The candidates will be questioned in front of a live studio audience by a panel of journalists including Channel 7 News Anchor Stephen Clark, WJR Assistant News Director Lloyd Jackson and Cindy Goodaker, Chair, Inforum Board and Executive Editor, Crain's Detroit Business.
