Drums.com Launches Comprehensive Drumming Search Engine

Drums.com Launches Comprehensive Drumming Search Engine

Indexing of high quality drumming web sites on the Web leads to Drums.com (http://www.Drums.com) becoming the leading vertical search engine for quick and easy access to drum-related information

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Drums.com today announced the launch of the Web's first search engine dedicated solely to providing drummers around the world with quick, easy and uncluttered access to high-quality drumming information located on the Internet.

"Drums.com has indexed what our editors, who are drummers, have determined to be the best drum-related web sites on the net," said George Richman, President and CEO of Drums.com, Inc. "Our search engine has removed all the unrelated information drummers encounter when using search engines like Google and Yahoo."

To provide this unique service, Drums.com has partnered with Planet Discover (http://www.planetdiscover.com/), a Kentucky-based private-label search engine company. Planet Discover also provides Drums.com with keyword search advertising modules that allow advertisers to target ads based on search terms entered by users.

"At Drums.com we believe matching drummers with relevant information, products and services to be the reason we exist," added Richman. "Adding keyword advertising to our menu of advertising solutions will no doubt benefit our advertisers greatly while improving our site users' experience."

Drums.com, in its tenth year of operation, is celebrating its anniversary by undergoing a complete site redesign and upgrade in addition to adding enhanced search and advertising products. The site's popular DrumTalk forums (http://www.drums.com/forums/), for example, have been upgraded to increase and enhance user interaction.

"Our DrumTalk forums have some of the world's best drummers giving advice on all aspects of drumming to the community whether it's on technique or the music business," said Jim Richman, co-founder and resident drummer at Drums.com. "Through the years, we've developed a drum community filled with positive people and positive posts and we want to expand on this success."

Drums.com plans to continue to provide visitors with current drum-related news, exclusive interviews and photographs. The site's popular classified advertising and lessons area will also be upgraded to make it easier for drummers to exchange products and services.

As part of its tenth anniversary celebration, Drums.com is also giving back to the drum community. During the month of January, Drums.com will be giving away drumsets, cymbals and drum gear to site visitors. Contest details can be found on the Drums.com web site at http://www.drums.com/.
