Cauldron Solutions Demonstrates Entitlement Platform at EuroCableNET(TM) 2005
Showcases Next Generation Access Control Framework
MADRID, Spain, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- EuroCableNET(TM)-- Cauldron Solutions, the leading provider of technology solutions for the distribution and transactions of all on-demand content, today announced the demonstration of its Entitlement platform at the EuroCableNET(TM) 2005 pavilion which is co-sponsored by CableLabs(R) and EuroCableLabs. Attendees will be able to learn how business logic relating to customer entitlements can be centralized through this next generation access control framework, which consists of two components, the Entitlement Manager and the Entitlement Engine.
The Entitlement platform demonstration will illustrate how the business policy authoring and execution capabilities of the Entitlement platform can be utilized by cable service providers who need a tool to manage and process entitlements consistently across various applications offering digital services and products to consumers.
Policy makers are given the ability to create and modify business rules that determine if an application or customer has a right or claim to a service or product, through the Entitlement Manager. The execution component, called the Entitlement Engine, accepts requests stemming for digital services and determines if such requests should be granted. It allows for precise scripting of customer experience for greater control and targets product offers to customers most likely to purchase, helping to increase margins.
"The emerging growth of on-demand digital media and the variety of ways in which customers can access, purchase or request such media has resulted in the need for service providers to efficiently manage and process such requests," said Bhavan Shah, Chief Technology Officer of Cauldron Solutions. "Service providers have the capability to quickly supply consumers with on-demand services that they are asking for, with the Cauldron Entitlement platform."
Cauldron's demonstration of the Entitlement platform at this international cable television industry event supports its initiative to develop global relationships and expand the deployment of its product suite internationally. Through support from Mitsui USA, the largest wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Japan; a diversified trading, investment, and service enterprise operating globally, Cauldron has begun to develop relationships in Japan, in order to help content and service providers, there and throughout the world, manage the transaction and distribution of on-demand media while giving consumers a better personal media experience.
The Entitlement platform demonstration from Cauldron Solutions can be found at the EuroCableNET 2005 pavilion from October 3rd through October 6th, located in the Partner Pavilion area in the Palacio Municipal de Congresos, Madrid. EuroCableNET is part of the Broadband World Forum Europe Show.
