French Satellite Provider to Deploy OpenTV's Latest Core Middleware and Network Package

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands (IBC Conference), Sept. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OpenTV Corp. (NASDAQ:OPTV), a leading provider of enabling technology for advanced digital television services, announced today that TPS, a leading French digital television company, has selected OpenTV as a key technology partner for the development and deployment of its advanced set-top box platform on which TPS will launch its high definition television (HDTV)/MPEG4 satellite services. "We are pleased to continue our relationship with TPS and to support them in deploying their new HDTV/MPEG4 technology," said Ben Bennett, senior vice president and managing director for OpenTV's European operations. "The launch of TPS's OpenTV-enabled HD set-top box platform is an extremely important project for both companies and reflects the long-standing collaborative partnership we have had with TPS over the years."
