Palm OS Device Owners Gain Access to Premium Music for Flash Memory Cards Through Pocket Tunes

MILLIS, Mass., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- NormSoft, Inc. today announced that it will add playback support for TrustedFlash(TM) to its award winning audio player Pocket Tunes(TM). TrustedFlash is a new technology introduced today by SanDisk(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) enabling consumers to buy premium music on flash memory cards.

Music producers and other content providers will be able to sell premium audio content on TrustedFlash products, which contain superior security and a digital rights management (DRM) solution. NormSoft's planned support for TrustedFlash will give users of Palm OS(R) based handhelds and smartphones the ability to play back pre-loaded and downloaded music on TrustedFlash cards using Pocket Tunes.

Pocket Tunes currently supports the following Palm OS based handhelds and smartphones: Treo(TM) 650 and Treo 600 smartphones; LifeDrive(TM) mobile manager; Zire(TM) 31, Zire 71, Zire 72, Tungsten(TM) C, Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, Tungsten E and Tungsten E2 handhelds; Garmin iQue 3600; Sony UX40, Sony UX50, Sony TJ35, Sony TJ37, Sony TH55; and Tapwave Zodiac.
